It was the era of prolific content sharing, Marvel movie fandom, budding interest in how tech was shaping our world, and enlightenment on how to be better people to each other.
Vegas had one rule: don’t talk about Vegas outside of Vegas. It was the perfect recipe for its secret sauce. Vegas was the place for inclusion – a place people could feel free to fully express who they were. The problem? Vegas ads started to make people’s sexuality the central point a little too much. The LGBTQ community said, “Thank you, but being gay-friendly doesn’t have to be the subject of all of your ads.”

It was time to shift toward inclusion as a natural part of the campaign, rather than the spotlight. AKA: Just make fun ads and bring everyone along forthe ride.
